CONFIRMED JOB SUPPLEMENT

• Sometimes clients are able to find a job, but lack the tools or money necessary to begin the job or travel to the job's location.

• To help clients in cases where they have documented proof of employment that will lead to independence from income assistance, the Confirmed Job Supplement provides a one-time grant averaging $250.

• The Confirmed Job Supplement funds may be used for items that could include transportation to a job, safety clothing and work boots.

• The Confirmed Job Supplement is provided when there are no alternate sources of funding available.
  
  
• The ministry invests more than $500,000 a year in the Confirmed Job Supplement to help over 2,500 clients.
  
  
• Available throughout the province, the Confirmed Job Supplement is delivered by regionally-based ministry staff.
